There are a lot of questions surrounding the film Doctor Strange 2 and the story of Wanda Maximoff and the disappearance of the Quantum Realm. Some people are wondering whether or not the ‘never seen again’ character will die. Others are hoping that Wanda’s mission will get resolved in the sequel.
Wanda’s mission
It’s been a while since Wanda Maximoff was last on the big screen. She’s had her share of adventures. During the “Infinity Saga” she even showed some shielding abilities. Now she’s back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but what’s in store for her in Dr Strange 2?
In the “Multiverse of Madness”, Wanda is no longer an Avenger, but instead is the villain. Doctor Strange must fight her to save the Multiverse. Unfortunately, he isn’t the only one fighting her.
The character arcs of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have several different directors. And there are over 100 different characters, each with their own story. While Wanda Maximoff is one of the strongest female characters in the MCU, her fate is still a bit unclear.
Wanda may have learned to use her powers to help her survive, but she may also have gotten corrupted by Darkhold. This could mean that Wanda is in a lot more trouble than she seems.
As an Avenger, she’s been training with Black Widow and Captain America. But she’s also suffered the loss of her family. Her twin brother Pietro was killed when he rescued Hawkeye. Also, her parents are missing. So, it’s no wonder that she is going through some serious grief.
Wanda may have been the first to wear the mask of the hero, but she’s likely to be the next to take on the role of the villain. Maybe she’s stealing America’s powers. Or maybe she’s just slinking around and hiding. Whether she’s a badass or just a pathetic clone of the original, it’s going to be a tough road ahead for her.
Aside from being a hero, Wanda was also a super-speedster and demonstrated some mental manipulation powers. Her powers can be used to punch through portals to different realities.
Wanda lost her twin brother Pietro, and she’s been through a lot of grief. She’s also gone through some epic battles. Some of the biggest moments are when she took on Spider-Man and Iron Man.
If Wanda is still alive in Dr Strange 2, she might be the next to take on the role of America Chavez.
Charlize Theron’s Clea
Clea is one of the key characters in Doctor Strange’s comic books. She is a powerful sorceress from the Dark Dimension. In the film, she acts as an ally and love interest for Strange, who becomes the Sorcerer Supreme on Earth.
In the comics, Clea is the daughter of Dormammu, a villain from the first movie. She is also a sorcerer, and she has the power to teleport. The sorcerer has been training Clea in mystical ways, such as at the Sanctum Sanctorum.
When Charlize Theron appeared in the post-credit scene of the Doctor Strange 2 movie, she was wearing full sorcerer regalia. Although she does not have much screen time, it appears that she is telling Doctor Strange that his actions in the movie caused an incursion between universes. If this is true, this will be a huge deal in the MCU.
Clea is a sorcerer who was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. She debuted in 1964. A few years later, the two comic book artists teamed up again to create a second Clea character.
Clea first appeared in issue #126 of the “Strange Tales” comics series. She is a sorcerer who falls in love with Doctor Strange. They marry, but their relationship is short-lived. As a result, she is imprisoned. Later, she becomes a villain when she betrays Dormammu.
After appearing in the first film, she was rumored to appear in the sequel, but it was not confirmed. However, her appearance in the post-credits scene suggests that she will play a significant role in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It is expected that Clea will feature in the next movie in the series. However, her future is still unclear. That said, the presence of the purple woman has significant meaning for the MCU, and it could be a sign of where it is headed.
Depending on the next installment, the two heroes may be able to explore the multiverse together. Or, they might become enemies. Regardless, Charlize Theron’s Clea is a very important character. Not only does she have the potential to be a major MCU player, but her character is a very important part of the story of Doctor Strange.
Doctor Strange’s regrets
The first film, Doctor Strange, left much to be desired when it came to describing the relationship between its protagonist, Stephen Strange, and his love interest Christine Palmer. In this sequel, however, writer/director Sam Raimi does a better job at revealing how the two intertwine.
While Doctor Strange is training to become a master of the mystic arts, he finds himself unable to avoid the heartbreak of losing his beloved Christine. As a result, he refuses to acknowledge her death as absolute. Instead, he searches for Christine’s alter ego in each of the universes to which she belongs. Eventually, he discovers she’s not dead, but a prisoner of Dark Magic.
At the same time, he is also trying to convince Wanda to help him in order to protect America. But Wanda is skeptical. Initially, she believes Doctor Strange is just reprimanding her. That’s until she learns the sorcerer’s true identity.
She later reveals that she’s the new Sorcerer Supreme of Earth-838, but she’s corrupted by the Darkhold. It’s now her duty to use her power to destroy the Darkhold and reclaim her sons’ lives.
This leads to the next chapter of the story, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Xochitl Gomez plays the character of America Chavez.
America and Doctor Strange are now bonded together as they train to master the mystic arts. They also learn that they’re not alone in their quest to save the world from evil. Their enemies include a mysterious woman called the Scarlet Witch, who wants to kill them both.
However, they’re able to defeat the villain, and America learns that she has the power to travel between the different universes. Unfortunately, her training will not be able to help her in her battle against the Scarlet Witch.
Before she can return to her Earth-838 counterpart, though, Wanda must destroy her body and soul. To do this, she must free her from the Darkhold.
Thankfully, the film makes up for its shortcomings by showcasing some moments of a good movie. For example, there’s a good scene where the rad Yeti is shown in a blurry polaroid. Also, there’s a good mid-credits scene, in which a mysterious woman arrives to speak to Doctor Strange.
