Electric actuated Explosion Proof Ball Valve with Positioner is dual certified (low emission/fire safe) with an investment cast 2-piece Full Port 150# flanged body and 316 stainless steel ball that offers unrestricted flow and minimal pressure loss. Actuators are direct mounted allowing for limit switches to be attached directly to the valves. This allows the valve to be closed remotely if the actuator is not powered. Available in on/off and modulating with an EPS positioner that accepts a 4 to 20 mA signal from the control system to position the valve.
Valve positioners are control valve accessories that require position feedback from the valve stem or shaft and then deliver pressurized air to the actuator so that the position of the actuator matches the set point from the control system. This is commonly used with control valves that are throttling and need to accurately match the desired value.
